WHY
This year’s Conference is being organized by the Drum Circle
Facilitators Conference Planning Committee and is being hosted by the Drum
Circle Facilitators Guild. It is open to anyone who uses percussion and rhythm
event facilitation in his or her work. The Conference's purpose is to further
the knowledge base and the depth of practice by offering workshops on a wide
range of topics from designing specialized programs to developing effect
marketing strategies and materials.
Enjoy friendship and leading-edge learning in this new
profession as it grows and develops. The Second Annual Drum Circle Facilitators
Conference is a place to share our “Best Practices”
discoveries, further the evolution of our craft, and help
build and realize higher business potential.
WHAT
Workshops will include:
· DCF Business Development (market presence, client base,
equipment &
logistics, start-up funding, etc.)
· Program Design & Activities for Specific Populations
(children,
special needs, organizational training, health, etc.)
· DCF Techniques and Strategies (activities, games,
resources)
· DCF Mastery (personal presence, inner development,
facilitating
overall event flow & energy, inter-disciplinary
resources, peer feedback)
Open periods for additional discussion and practice topics
(including
your own)
Jump Time for facilitation practice, Jam Time for evening socializing and creative expression
WHO
The Conference is for everyone who uses rhythm and drumming
activities in
their work in the areas of:
~ Education ~ Health & wellness ~ Community events
~ Youth development ~ Elder care ~ Workplace training
~ Social services ~ Active Seniors ~ Meetings & events
Conference sessions are designed for participants who have
knowledge and experience with basic DCF principles. Beginning DCFs are welcome,
however introductory instruction will not be offered.

Carolina,

package including room & board to conveniently share our
